I will be leaving the US in January to move to London and do work for women's rights. While I am very excited, I will miss New York and the US, so I decided to host a concert to celebrate the musical adventure I have had here. It will be an hour set at Shapeshifter Labs (which, if you don't know, is an amazing place).

Alexander Dubovoy: piano, vocals
Zosha Warpeha: violin, vocals
Andrew Ryan, bass

$8 with student ID; $10 general admission

Zosha Warpeha is a violinist, vocalist, and songwriter hailing from Minnesota and currently residing in Brookyln. Inspired by music from many regions of the world, she performs a range of contemporary and folk styles on a 5-string violin, often letting her voice weave itself in and out the music. Zosha is currently pursuing studies at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music.

Andrew Ryan is a bassist and composer from Denver, Colorado. A graduate of Ithaca College, he is an emerging artist in acoustic music, touring with Juno Award-winning banjoist Jayme Stone in his groundbreaking Lomax Project and rising folk-roots artist Kaia Kater. Andrew is also a founding member of The Freewheel Trio, where he is featured as a singer and songwriter. Andrew currently resides in Brooklyn, where he performs in 21st-century chamber group 9 Horses and continuously strives to make music both eclectic and inclusive.
